KARACHI: The heavy contingents of Police and Rangers have been deployed around one of the busiest hospitals of Karachi, Abbasi Shaheed hospital, in the wake of any possible terror attack, Geo News reported on Friday.

According to sources, a banned outfit Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) threatened to blow up Abbassi Shaheed Hospital with explosion after which the security has been tightened on the request of hospital administration.

Police and rangers personnel are deployed at exit and entry gates to put thorough check on people.

A Senior Director of Medical Services said in his statement that the help of home ministry has also been called along with the hospital staff.
